| I attened the midnight screening to Harry Potter & the Deathly Hollows Part 2 in 3D last night/this morning.
They stuck very close to the book in this one which paid off brilliantly!
The film starts where the last ended with Harry and Co. wanting to find the rest of Voldermort's Horcruxes (pieces of his soul). They discover one is in Gringotts bank and they head there to detroy it. The film kicked in straight away with action, within 20 minutes you were watching scenes that were like a very modern version of the Temple of Doom's Mine Cart scene. And also the run in with the Dragon! they get you hooked straight away and as the 1st part explains the story already they really focus on the action and CGI, which was epicly amazing.
Within an hour of the movie you were back in Hogwarts starting the final battle. Seeing the Statues come to life and setting up defences and the magical shield deployed over hogwarts was beautiful! 2 minutes after that Voldermort launches his no holds barred attack against the school, it's teacher's and pupil's.
Its all quite emotional as there's no limit to who can die, a fair few main characters do from both the good and evil side. The whole last 90mins i pure fighting with Giants and spiders smashing everything to bits.
Watching the much beloved school being torn to pieces was amazing, like i said the CGI was crazy!
The final battle was just as amazing, it would be intense if you didn't know what was going to happen. I read the book so there were no surprises but seeing how they conveyed it in the movie was just mind blowing.
To anyone who was a fan of the movies i seriously suggest watching this in the cinema it will blow your mind!!!!!
CGI 10/10 Acting: 9/10 Story: 10/10 Action: 10/10
Overall 10/10!!! | |

| il be going to see this tomorrow, really glad theyve stuck to the book as i found the order of the phoenix and half blood prince films quite average as they missed a lot of stuff out of the book and strayed a lot. Another awesome review! | |

| I went to see a mid night screening too, to be honest i did not except much. luckly i was wrong. the music and camera angles are superbe, the way it builds tension is better in some ways than the action. on the down side some aspects are a little predictable even if you havent read the book. (this is only my opinion though). dispite that i would class it in the same bracket as the Dark Knight. epic flim to symbolise the end of an era. | |

| Me and Laura, went to the midnight screening loved the film but i would've preferred the ending in the book - Spoiler:
where Harry and Voldemort duel in front of everyone in hogwarts...
he explains that the elder wand was dracos and because he beat him, the wands belongs to him casts Expelliarmus and kills voldemort...
in the book he doesnt break the elder wand either but uses it to repair his original wand and put the wand in his moleskin so the power dies with harry.
