| I like the weir too, although I really like the goose to, the grooves in the feathers on its neck add a nice depth to it. Sweet dridge | |

| Did you use a High Aperture to get the fluffiness of the Weir? I love them all - What lens did you use?
EDIT: Have you noticed in the Swans picture 2 swans in the background have their heads and necks in the shappe of a heart!

| I used the lens that came with the camera. 18-55mm. It was the exposure I played with to get the water looming that way. I did try a 5 sec exposure but the sun was so low and bright that allvthe photos were over exposed. I think I cut down to a 2 sec exposure and the aperture was pretty regular. I didn't notice it before! There were swans doing that but I missed the shot and I couldn't wait around all day. I really wanted a shot of a moor hen but they were not so tame I got the birds in flight using the sports mode for continuous shooting. I made the birds jump so they flew in the air. Then I started shooting. | |

| Absolutely! Couldn't live without that program now! Adding saturation, vibrance, sharpness etc makes some photos look so much better. Also basic cropping works wonders! | |

Q4U... any reason why you use lightroom and not just PS ? What are the advantages/dis ? maybe Samit is best placed to answer this. I'd say mainly because of it's UI, raw compatibility, ease of use photo developing enhancements. It's geared more to developing photos taken with dslrs rather than Photoshop is more of an all rounder.

Q4U... any reason why you use lightroom and not just PS ? What are the advantages/dis ? Photoshop is too much of a varied design tool, you can use it to design all sorts, sigs, banners, user interfaces, websites all sorts, but Lightroom is design only for photo editing, like Ridge stated, its compatibility with RAW files, and its user interface, its completely dedicated to photography mate. I would honestly recommend you get it, even if your not a pro and just use your camera for point and shoot stuff, it will work wonders for you ! Sam.
