Activison has teamed up with Mountain Dew and Doritos to offer MW3 fans a unique Promotion.
Yesterday
Mountain Dew announced on their
Facebook page that, to celebrate the launch of Modern Warfare 3, they would be bringing back their Game Fuel Promotion.
Game Fuel is not a new new promotion, having been seen in 2007 promoting Halo and again in 2009 promoting World of Warcraft, but this is the first time that it will be promoting Call of Duty.
Starting in October, the "Rank Up Your Game with Double XP" promotion will allow gamers who purchase a bottle of either Citrus Cherry or Tropical flavours to redeem a code that comes with the bottle, that
unlocks personal Double XP for a limited amount of time. How long the code will last for once redeemed is unknown at this time.
If you don't like Mountain Dew, there is an alternative.
Doritos are offering the codes as well through the "Power of One" Campaign.
Mountain Dew VP of marketing Brett O'Brien said in a press release,
"DEW fans have been clamoring for the return of Mountain Dew Game Fuel, so we wanted to really fire them up with a partnership that gets to the core of what DEW is all about. With this partnership we get to make sure that Mountain Dew fuels both the fans and their Call of Duty gameplay while they play Modern Warfare 3." So, how much Mountain Dew and Doritos will you be buying to rank up faster?"
Do you like the idea or do you think it gives an unfair advantage?
Personally, i think its unfair and its just another way for people who are too lazy to play the game to spend their way to completion. Its like NFS Undercover where you could buy completion off of the PS Store.
