Subject: Music Creation Programmes? Fri 29 Apr - 1:15
After a great chat with the Bujjerator i've decided to get back in touch with my creative side.
I plan on buying a new guitar soon and will be writing a variation of styles of music but was wondering if anyone could suggest a great programme for creating music.
I don't have a clue where to start looking, prefrably something i can download for free lol
Bujj i've narrowed it down to about 6 guitars not sure which i'm going for yet!

all depends on what you want to do with the programme. will you be recording guitar and other live instruments or using mostly loops etc?
for loops - ableton live/fruity loops are good starting points. ableton is in my opinion the better of the two programs, although a little daunting to start of with
recording - cubase, studio one and many others
you can download them all for free

torrents are useless. they download at a handful of KB's a second and software like this would take 100's of hours.
and whats a seed ratio?

you dont have a clue. my torrents download at almost a mb per second, and they will for you too, especially from a private tracker like PA

seed ratio is how much you upload compared to download and like pepe said you can get ridiculous speeds plus that file http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/5165822 is only 185mb with 307seeds so should take no longer than about 20-25 mins

i opened the torrent on my mac and checked the ETA however i failed to notice there were several hip hop discographies DLing so my estimate was way out. yer the download speed is really going to depend on how many other people have the completed download and how many are currently downloading like yourself

you mentioned torrents were useless, i believed that you didnt have a clue what you were on about...and you have proven this yourself by downloading at approx a mb per sec. make sense? regardless, have you installed fruity loops yet? i suggest you install a few of the programs mentioned and find what one works for you. ableton has a ton of tutorials on youtube

how do torrents downloading slowly mean i dont have a clue what i was on about? all of the torrents ive downloaded before were much slower.
e.g. i tried downloading after effects cs4 in 2009. it was 1.3Gb, took 1 day 8 hours and downloaded at 41.1Kbps
and yes ive installed it.

nah that wouldnt work it registers the IP address and your only allowed one account per IP so they would bith get locked i think if i just leave them seeding for the five days ill be able to get it because you get karma points for seeding torrents whether anyone is DLing or not and they can be traded for extra upload data so i can basically trade all the points and make my ration better and as long as i dont download any more torrents from their tracker for the next few days i should be able to get to a 1.0 ratio
