Just seen this and I don’t know if its been posted before, this could keep things interesting
Contracts are available to purchase with CoD Points. Different contracts will have different goals, such as achieving a certain number of killstreak rewards or getting a certain amount of kills with a specific weapon. Completing a contract will yield more CoD Points than the player paid for the contract itself. The higher difficulty of the contract, the higher payout upon completion. This may have also been a way to prevent hacks such as 10th Prestige lobbies. The old challenge system will still be in place, contracts are just an addition.
It is also important to note that the contracts do in fact expire. Once the player has accepted the contract, they have a certain amount of time to fulfill this contract.
It is also mentioned that there will be a different set of contracts every week for players to fulfill, so players must do contracts while they are there or they will be gone the next week.
