Yeah a40s are $199 at the moment and that's just under £130. I have surround sound but these could be better for late night gaming.

the headset needs a Mix Amp if it is to be used with PS3 or 360, so that puts the price up to £189.95. it does look very good though so i am definitely considering gettin an A30 or an A40. IGN: A30=9.7/10 A40=9.5/10

cool thats a great idea. which ones are you getting? im gonna get the A30 probably cos its a little bit better and £40 less. apparently the bass on the A30 has been improved over the A40. the A30 sits titghtly but comfortably on your ears to block out background noise whilst the A40 goes over over your ears although there as a gap to allow air flow, which reduces the amount of background noise that gets blocked out. i'll also need some splitters for use with the hd-pvr so that looks a little complicated

im having a good look at the features for both so i can make a decision. The frequency range willl be better on the A40's but i love the sleeker design, noise isolation, bass and low price of the A30's... hmm A30's would be better for use on the streets to. With an inline mic for taking calls on your mobile with the headset on. I might buy these tomorrow

very good comprehensive review. will defo get 1.
even the box is sexy.
better bass, audio range and price than the A40's and they still look amazing. he says the only thing thats worse is the mic and as you can its still here brilliantly (and at the end of the day, as long as you can still be heard clearly, does it really matter?)

Yeah a good head set like that is well worth it just so you can be a sound whore, you’ll really notice it when people are walking on non-metal things that don’t make much noise like grass, got my turtle bitches for £5 after trading in some stuff and using a gift card. 2nd best thing I’ve bought for the PS3
If I was looking at new ones I might go with the ones that have a gap to let the air flow cool your ear, during late night session destroying fools my ears get really warm and start to annoy me, so I play with one ear covered and one not for a while. It sounds stupid but if your spending that sort of money then your better getting something you can were all day with out it annoying you

John I doubt very much that the lower priced headset has a better audio range. The General rule for headphones is that the more you pay the better the components and audio fidelity. I'm an audiophile
I doubt headphones will ever replace my surround system though. Headphone 5.1 can't possibly be better than the real thing.

watch the video. also, look on the official site. A40: 15-28kHz A30: 14-28kHz thats an extra 1kHz at the bottom end.

So it must just be the components. Can think of any other reason why they would be £100 more. Ps I might these today
